Player Profile

Mamadou Niang is better known as Petit Niang. The Senegalese, who discovered basketball in his hometown of Thies at age 14, started playing in Spain at 16. A player for Gran Canaria, Tenerife from 2013 to 2019, Seville then Granada between 2021 and 2023, Petit Niang mainly played in Liga Endesa, Europe's best national first division. In the 2022-2023 season, he averaged 8.4 points with 71.4% shooting accuracy, 5.7 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 21 minutes for Granada. This convinced Orleans to make him one of their key recruits during the 2023 offseason.
