Fuenlabrada and Westermann’s slip-up at CB Tizona of Tidjan Keita
Hugo Dal Mas
Two days after the Spanish press mentioned his imminent arrival, it’s now official: Boris Dallo (6’5″, 31) joins Real Betis Baloncesto. The Andalusian club, currently 4th in Primera FEB (LEB Oro), is betting on the experience and versatility of the French wing to strengthen their roster in their push for promotion to Liga Endesa.
After coming through the French National Institute of Sport, Boris Dallo started in Pro A with Poitiers in 2012, before quickly heading abroad, notably with Partizan Belgrade, where he won the Serbian championship in 2014. The Nantes native then traveled between the United States (NBA G-League with Long Island), Greece (Panionios, Aris), and several French clubs (Antibes, Cholet, Strasbourg, ASVEL…).
After a successful 2022-2023 season with Cholet, Boris Dallo joined ASVEL, where his role quickly diminished. He has since bounced around (Strasbourg, brief return to Cholet for three games, aborted move to Nancy) without finding stability.
By joining Betis Seville, Boris Dallo gets his first opportunity in Spain. The Andalusian club, relegated to Primera FEB this season, clearly aims for immediate promotion back to the elite. Currently 4th with 20 wins and 6 losses, behind Fuenlabrada and Léo Westermann, Betis is counting on the Frenchman’s versatility, capable of playing all three perimeter positions, to bring experience in key moments.
In its announcement, the club is pleased to welcome « a versatile player (…) whose experience and adaptability will be fundamental in achieving our objectives. » At 31, Boris Dallo finds an ambitious project in a new championship, aiming to relaunch a career marked by numerous rebounds.
