T.J. Shorts (1.75m, 27 years old) could leave Paris to join the rising Dubai BC? The Emirati club, currently competing in the Adriatic League (ABA Liga) and already well-positioned, aims to join EuroLeague in the short term. To achieve this, they are pursuing multiple prestigious recruitment targets. Among the circulating names, the American-North Macedonian point guard now appears in transfer rumors, following a tweet from Italian insider Matteo Andreani of BasketInside360.

Dubai BC thinks big

Fresh to the ABA Liga this season, Dubai BC continues to make headlines. Currently 3rd in the standings ahead of powerhouses like Red Star Belgrade, the team coached by newly extended Jurica Golemac is not hiding its ambitions. On March 17, their victory against Partizan Belgrade strengthened their status, especially as it was played in front of EuroLeague CEO Paulius Motiejunas.

« Continuity is the greatest proof of progress, » explained GM Dejan Kamenjasevic when announcing his coach’s extension, praising his key role since the club’s creation.

T.J. Shorts targeted for 2025-2026

Determined to join European elite basketball, Dubai is preparing a crazy summer transfer window. Already securing Davis Bertans, the club reportedly has eyes on European stars lacking NBA visibility, like Dario Saric (2.08m, 30 years old) or Vasilije Micic (1.95m, 31 years old). But a well-known name in French basketball emerges: T.J. Shorts.

As Paris Basketball’s star point guard, with whom he dominated EuroCup and Betclic ELITE before establishing himself in EuroLeague, Shorts embodies the success of the Parisian project. Seeing him leave the capital this summer would be a blow for the French club, but the financial power and appeal of the Emirati project could shuffle the cards.
