Mouhammadou Jaiteh’s perfect game and tied record with Monaco against Barcelona
On Friday, April 25, during Game 2 of the EuroLeague playoff quarter-finals, Mouhammadou Jaiteh delivered a phenomenal performance for AS Monaco. Against a vigilant FC Barcelona, the former Malakoff player scored 20 points on 9/9 shooting in less than 16 minutes, setting his European career-best performance index rating (27).

Mouhammadou Jaiteh stepped up at the most crucial moment. Coming off the bench with determination, the Monégasque center provided the Roca Team with valuable intensity in the paint, finishing the game with an impressive 9/9 shooting for 20 points and 4 rebounds in just 15 minutes and 48 seconds.
Having already achieved a similar performance in November 2022 with Virtus Bologna, Mam’ confirmed his growing impact in major EuroLeague games. « Tonight Mam Jaiteh was incredible, I’m very happy for him, » praised his teammate Jaron Blossomgame.

When interviewed after the game, Jaiteh emphasized Monaco’s collective mindset: « We’re managing to form a core, a unit with a single common goal. That’s the biggest victory. This game is perhaps a reward for the hours that people don’t see, » he humbly shared.
The center also stressed the importance of defensive intensity: « If we want to have a chance to beat them, that’s what it takes. No matter who’s on the court, everyone fights for the same thing. »
Spanoulis praises his center’s commitment
His coach, Vassilis Spanoulis, didn’t fail to highlight his player’s commitment: « When you have guards creating like that and you’re ready to start with defense and rebounding, you find your rhythm. Mam’ was ready, he helped us today, like everyone else. »
