French national team’s Euro prep: 19 players to gather in late July
French National Team - Frédéric Fauthoux provided details about the French team's preparation for EuroBasket. 19 players - 16 preselected plus 3 training partners - will gather from late July.

During the press conference following the EuroBasket 2025 draw, head coach Frédéric Fauthoux shared information about the French team’s preparation for this competition. The current JL Bourg coach indicated that he plans to gather the team from late July. He and his staff would work with 19 players: 16 preselected players, plus three training partners.
Five to six preparation games planned
While the gathering will start in Paris, the French team will then go to Pau, where they will use Villa Navarre and the Sports Palace, for a week of training and a preparation game according to La République des Pyrénées, although the official schedule will only be revealed in about two weeks.
« We have planned five to six friendly matches, » specified Frédéric Fauthoux, without having finalized all opponents at this stage.
