Christ Essandoko

Player Profile
Christ Essandoko is a French-Congolese center playing in NCAA.
A former youth player at Nanterre, after playing U15 ELITE at Paris-Levallois and Union Champagne Châlons-Reims, Christ Essandoko went to the United States to continue his development in 2020. As a player at Winston Salem Christian School in North Carolina, this tall center had initially chosen Providence to start his NCAA career.
Eventually, the 2019 French U18 Championship finalist didn't join the Friars but Saint Joseph's. After being ineligible in 2022-2023, he had a strong freshman season (8.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 blocks in 21 minutes per game) that ended in March at the NIT.
His profile and performances attracted more prestigious programs, like Providence coached by former Roanne, Nancy and Cholet player Kim English. At Saint Joseph's, he was mentored by another former Cholet and Nancy player, assistant coach John Linehan.
