Sami Pissis

Player Profile
Sami Pissis is a French point guard/shooting guard. Growing up in the Paris region in a family of basketball players, he started playing basketball himself before joining Paris-Levallois at U13 level. After playing two seasons in U15 ELITE, he couldn't find a youth academy which led him to turn to the United States along with his brother Mehdi.
As a high school player in Georgia at Trinity Christian (located in Sharpsburg), he also joined the AAU circuit playing alongside Scoot Henderson, Victor Wembanyama's former rival for the #1 spot in the 2023 NBA Draft. After attending Middle Georgia Prep school, he eventually played NCAA basketball at Southern Louisiana with his brother Mehdi Pissis. Given responsibilities but not always agreeing with his coach, he left the program after the 2022-2023 season and had to move to Junior College (JuCo) championship. Following a strong individual and team season with Chipola (program located in Marianna, Florida), he returned to NCAA at New Hampshire in 2024. Playing for a team accustomed to defeats, he distinguished himself with several high-scoring games, including 33 points against UMass Lowell.
