Roca Team looking to maintain momentum
Having won their last three EuroLeague games, Monaco shows great momentum and can now count on their full roster. Jordan Loyd hadn’t played since the victory against Fenerbahçe at Gaston-Médecin on March 20 (91-82). In his absence, Vassilis Spanoulis’s team held strong, and his return only adds an extra offensive threat.
More good news: Vitto Brown (2.03m, 29 years old) also returned to the court Sunday during the away game at Le Portel (91-67 win). In just 10 minutes, the American forward scored 14 points shooting 4/4 from behind the arc, showing he hadn’t lost his touch.
Loyd among Europe’s most efficient players
In EuroLeague this season, Jordan Loyd averages 11 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 26 games. But beyond raw statistics, it’s his efficiency that impresses: the Monaco guard posts 1.22 points per possession, placing him 6th in the EuroLeague rankings, tied with teammate Daniel Theis and Cedi Osman (Panathinaikos). Leading the pack are likely MVP Sasha Vezenkov (Olympiacos) and Erick McCollum (Fenerbahçe), both at 1.33 points per possession.
With such efficiency, Jordan Loyd could be the decisive weapon against the reigning champions, coached by Ergin Ataman, to give Monaco a prestigious victory on the eve of playoffs.
