Kevin Punter to extend three years with FC Barcelona

Kevin Punter (1.93m, 31 years old) will continue wearing FC Barcelona’s colors. After a solid first season under Joan Peñarroya, the American guard with Serbian citizenship has extended his contract with Barça until 2028, in a deal estimated at 12 million euros gross, according to EuroHoops.
A convincing first season
After arriving in summer 2024 following three notable seasons with Partizan Belgrade, Kevin Punter quickly found his place within the Catalan team. An elegant shooter trained in New Rochelle, New York, he was named EuroLeague MVP for October. During this period, he averaged 18.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.4 steals.
Throughout the 2024-2025 European campaign, the American-Serbian guard is averaging 17.1 points, 2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 30 games. In Liga Endesa, he’s also contributing with 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists in 23 matches.
This extension aligns with the Catalan club’s desire to stabilize its roster around solid core players to return to European heights. With this new contract, Kevin Punter establishes himself as a key piece in Barcelona’s project for the coming seasons.
