Migna Touré, a fourth French player joins the Golden State Valkyries

WNBA - Migna Touré has signed a WNBA contract to participate in the Valkyries' preseason. She joins a significant French contingent within this franchise. The Girona guard signs her first contract across the Atlantic.

Mamignan Touré (1.83 m, 30 years old) signs with the Golden State Valkyries, the newest expansion team in the WNBA. She joins Iliana Rupert, Carla Leite, and Janelle Salaün in this Californian adventure. The four French players also share being preselected for EuroBasket 2025 in a very large group, to provide flexibility particularly in view of the WNBA season in which several players from this group will participate.

« Several players engaged in this league will have the opportunity to join us throughout the training camps, » explained Jean-Aimé Toupane, head coach of the French women’s national team.

Her contract allows her to participate in the preseason where she will compete with 20 other contenders for the 12 available spots in the final roster. The opening night takes place on the night of May 16-17.

This season, Migna Touré participated in EuroCup with Girona and was eliminated in the quarter-finals by ASVEL Féminin last February. She averaged 8.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2 assists in 26 minutes over 12 games in the European competition. In the domestic league, Girona finished first in the regular season and will face Ferrol in the playoff quarter-finals, starting this Thursday for Game 1.
