Noah Bolanga joins Utah Tech, where the French connection continues to grow

Noah Bolanga (6’8″, 22 years old), a French forward trained in Poitiers and Orleans, will continue his college career at Utah Tech. After his first NCAA experience with Saint Bonaventure, where he averaged 2.6 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.7 assists in 14 minutes, the 2023 U20 European champion decided to change scenery to pursue a more significant role.

A fresh start at Utah Tech
At 22, Noah Bolanga is looking to revitalize his NCAA career. Having arrived in the United States in 2023 with promising potential, particularly due to his wingspan and mobility for his size, the Poitiers native had a modest first season in American college basketball.
Coming off the bench at Saint Bonaventure, the son of former French international Sissako Bolanga decided to enter the transfer portal to join a program where he could take on more responsibilities. Utah Tech, located in St. George, Utah, and competing in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), seized the opportunity.
A well-established French pipeline
By joining the Trailblazers, Noah Bolanga will reunite with two familiar faces from French basketball: guard Madiba Owona (6’4″, 21 years old), who joined the team in 2024, and Elliott De Wit, a French coach on staff. This presence likely influenced the player’s decision, as he seeks stability and development opportunities.
After turning professional with OLB in 2023, the summer of European triumph with the U20 French team, Noah Bolanga continues his American journey with ambition. Utah Tech, which plays home games at Burns Arena under head coach Jon Judkins, hopes to benefit from his lengthy and athletic profile.
