Philippe Da Silva after Nanterre’s defeat against AEK: « We want to come back here for game 3 »

On Wednesday evening, Nanterre 92 lost game 1 of the BCL quarter-finals at AEK Athens with a score of 76-69. The Franco-Portuguese coach first gave his match review at the press conference:
« Congratulations to the opposing team and to the fans who pushed their players to give their best. They had better focus in the key moments of the game. We lost the ball during the last quarter, and that gave our opponents the opportunity to run and score. That’s why I’m disappointed, because we were really close to winning this first game. Now we need to focus on the next game, because this is a playoff series. We want to come back here for game 3. »
Croatian forward Roko Prkacin (2.07m, 22 years old) was the top scorer for the French side with 16 points and 6 rebounds. He also commented on his team’s collective performance after the game:
« It was the first playoff game, we were there and we fought throughout the game. We were in it the whole time. The most important part was the last few minutes of the game. I think we lost our concentration at that point, and that cost us the game. Congratulations to AEK for their good game. It was a great atmosphere to play in. »
