Rob Gray (1.86m, 30 years old) keeps on traveling. The former Monaco player, who made club history by winning the EuroCup with Roca Team in 2021, has signed with Galatasaray for the remainder of the season. Coming from Scafati (Italy), he will return to the Champions League (BCL), a competition where he had already shined with Tofas Bursa.

A solid scorer, Rob Gray was coming off a convincing first half of the season in Serie A with Scafati: averaging 21.1 points, 3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1 steal over 21 games. Impressive individual statistics that weren’t enough to lift his team in the standings (13th, 6 wins – 17 losses). One step away from the relegation zone, the Italian team is fighting for survival.
The Forest City (North Carolina) native arrives in Istanbul in a completely different context. Galatasaray is currently 6th in the Turkish championship (12-10) and will play the BCL quarter-finals against Nymburk. The Istanbul club aims for a European Final Four and qualification for the national playoffs (BSL).
The 30-year-old guard is no stranger to Turkey. He had already shined there with Tofas Bursa, finishing as BCL’s top scorer in 2021-2022 with 20 points per game. A performance that followed his stint at Monaco, where he was one of the key players in the 2021 EuroCup victory, before seeing his playing time reduced in EuroLeague.
Also having played for JL Bourg and Levallois, Gray has since followed a nomadic path between Prometey (Ukraine) and the Italian Lega. At Galatasaray, he reunites with familiar faces from the French championship like James Palmer Jr, Will Cummings and Tyrone Wallace. Together, they will try to lead the Istanbul club to a successful end of season in Turkey and Europe.
