TV Contract

In June 2023, the National Basketball League (LNB), Skweek platform and L'Équipe channel announced they had signed a partnership and broadcasting agreement for Betclic ELITE matches. This contract runs until 2030.

Starting September 16, 2023, the platform will offer all regular season and playoff games. L'Équipe channel also broadcasts one championship game per round, namely the Sunday evening fixture (7pm).

Betclic ELITE Format

The Betclic ELITE championship consists of two phases:

  • Regular Season: 18 teams playing home and away games
  • Playoffs: top 8 teams compete in quarters, semis and finals. Finals are best-of-5.

Relegation: bottom three teams at end of regular season are relegated to Pro B for 2023/2024 season

Betclic ELITE Player Salaries

Each season, Betclic ELITE player salaries are revealed in the media. For 2023/2024 season, players from Monaco and ASVEL occupy almost all top salary spots for both foreign and French players. Mike James (Monaco) leads with €2 million, followed by Kemba Walker (Monaco) and Nando de Colo (ASVEL) at €1.5 million each. The highest-paid player outside Monaco and ASVEL is T.J. Short of Paris Basketball at €300,000 annually.
