Player Profile

Damien Inglis is a French power forward. Trained in French Guiana, the Cayenne native joined the French National Training Center after an impressive TIZ tournament in Temple-sur-Lot during All Saints' Day 2009, while still in U15.

Trained as a small forward, this highly versatile player emerged as the leader of the 1995 generation. After turning professional with Roanne in 2013, he was drafted 31st overall by Milwaukee the following season. However, he didn't establish himself in the NBA, mainly due to foot injuries. He eventually returned to Europe in 2017 with a brief stint at Capo d'Orlando in Italy before playing for Strasbourg. At SIG, he truly revived his career under Vincent Collet's guidance. After an underwhelming season with Limoges CSP in 2018-2019, he returned to Strasbourg in 2019-2020 where he delivered strong individual performances despite team struggles. As a result, Monaco, looking for French-trained players, signed him. Rotating with Mathias Lessort and Wilfried Yeguete, he played a significant role in winning the EuroCup title.

However, Damien Inglis seemed to shift towards the center position and produced low statistics. After losing weight, he found a spot in the Spanish championship, Liga Endesa, with Bilbao. Very comfortable in the Spanish style where his court vision shines, he took off and convinced the prestigious Gran Canaria club to sign him. Becoming a French international in November 2022, winning EuroCup a second time in 2023, he convinced Valencia to give him a chance in EuroLeague.
