Kalifa Sakho was born in Rouen but grew up in Limoges, specifically in the Val de l'Aurence neighborhood. The interior player trained at the CSP youth academy before leaving for the United States in summer 2021.
After two seasons at South Plains Community College in Texas, this power forward joined Utah State's university program. In his first NCAA season, his team was highly competitive. The Aggies finished with the best record in the Mountain West but were eliminated in the end-of-season tournament semifinals by the San Diego State Aztecs, which didn't prevent their invitation to March Madness 2024.
In the 2024 offseason, Kalifa Sakho joined the Sam Houston program, competing in Conference USA.
