Player Profile

Yanik Blanc is a scoring point guard born in L'Isle-d'Espagnac, Charente. After starting at Moulidars and playing for Cognac's U14 regional team, he joined the France National Training Center in 2014 where he stayed until 2017, while also playing for French youth national teams (three European Championships at U16, U18 and U20 levels).

A quiet start in Pro B

Returning close to home with Poitiers to start his career, he didn't break out but was still named Pro B Best Young Player in 2017-2018. After another quiet season with PB 86 in 2018-2019 and a similar one at Saint-Quentin in 2019-2020, he faced unemployment before a temporary stint in Alsace with Souffelweyersheim. Already in the area, he then joined nearby club Kayersberg where he returned to NM1 level.

A career restart in NM1

Performing well over 10 games, he did even better at KABCA in 2021-2022. This convinced Caen, a powerhouse in the division, to sign him in 2022. After his two years there, he helped CBC earn promotion to Pro B by winning the 2024 playoffs. However, despite this sporting promotion, he subsequently joined another ambitious National 1 club, BC Orchies.
